Lewis is a versatile drummer with a background in both the UK’s musical theatre and Pop music scenes. He is the original drummer and current chair holder on the West End’s Operation Mincemeat, and was lucky enough to contribute musically to the show over the years, culminating in recording the cast recording for Sony, under the direction of Steve Sidwell. Recently Lewis has provided emergency drum cover for the Olivier award winning show “The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button” at the ambassadors theatre, where he now continues to perform.
Lewis also works with a range of pop artists and clients, most recently touring with UK pop/country act First Time Flyers. He has worked on the “front lines” of the music industry for over ten years, playing drums wherever opportunities arose, including cruise work, tribute shows, afro-funk and blues bands, singer songwriters and cabaret nights.
Lewis is also a passionate teacher and has taught in a range of settings from private lessons to running full band workshops for primary school children. He also has experience volunteering as a teacher, working for refugee groups such as Caras, and providing band sessions for SEN students.
